KS1 Teaching Assistant

Salary Type: Main Pay Range

Salary Details: Actual Salary £5,520 - FTE £22,737 (TA) and £22,367 (LSA)

Hours of Work: Monday to Wednesday: 9:00 – 12:30 / 3.5 hours per day / 10.5 hours per week

Job/Person Summary

Crondall Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, warm and highly committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. We are a one-form entry Primary School in the heart of the beautiful village of Crondall on the Hampshire/Surrey border and we are now part of Weydon Multi Academy Trust.

 

We are looking for someone who:

 

  • Enjoys working with young children and adults
  • Is able to enthuse and inspire children to learn
  • Has high expectations and a positive attitude and commitment to supporting children’s learning and
  • behaviour
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Has a positive outlook and a good sense of humour
  • Is an excellent team player
  • Is organised and able to work independently
  • Is willing to work 1:1 with children as required and in small groups

 

Please note the essential requirements for this post include:

  • GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • An ability to relate well to children, parents and staff

The role also includes Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant and your duties will include:

  • Preparing the hall for lunch
  • Supervising and helping children whilst they eat their lunch
  • Cleaning spillage and surfaces
  • Helping to clear away at the end of lunch, putting tables and chairs away and clearing of hall

Please note this role is entirely hall based and not outdoors and will be for 30 minutes per day.

 

Although this post is advertised as Teaching Assistance and Lunchtime Supervisor, we are also open to applications from candidates with greater experience. The role profile would change in accordance with this.

The start date is as soon as possible subject to DBS checks etc.

The contract is fixed-term until 19th July 2024 pending review of the school budget, but may be extended.
